Well, a little late here...but here nonetheless. It is a new year with fresh ideas and I have made some decisions that will hopefully offer me some personal and intellectual growth. I have been consistently inspired by Andy Watterson and his personal blog, AWWInspired. As he talked about in his first couple of posts, we are at a new level of technology, networking, and communications....all literally at our fingertips. I have always been a private writer in my journal, taking a look at days, weeks, or months....and recording the millions of things that happen internally and externally. Given the expansive nature of the web, I figured that I would take that personal log and post it on a public blog.
Reading some of my past journal entries offered me a unique stream of thought....I was able to slowly start building a persona, if you will, of ... well, ME. The fabric from which I am woven is unique and complex....it has been an unspoken journey of mine to find the how's, why's, and who's of it.... and in that quest I slowly developed and spun my character from the situations and people around me. Long story short, I was able to finally realize that I have used certain mechanisms to help me along the way....and the mechanism that shouts out of my entries and memories from the past is: Humor.
As I continue to post regularly here, I plan on taking my quest one step farther...while hoping to gain insight from those people (if any) out there in the great expanse. I have decided that finding humor in things....digging it out and squeezing a smile out of any situation is not easy to do....and that I have been given an ability to do so. It's not unlike someone's ability to jump exceptionally high...a natural gift that can consistently be sharpened and improved.
